Day 11: Oregon and Washington State… We made it to Richland!

Friday, June 7th. Wright’s Desert Gold RV Park, Richland, WA. Elevation: 384 feet. Miles Traveled: 165. Trip Total: 2,662.

We had an uneventful day, moving fast along the unterstate. I was feeling a sense of urgency, wanting to be with Susie, visiting before she has the baby. We pulled into the RV Park where we will be for a few weeks, and Susie was passing in her car and saw us. She pulled in right behind us and greeted me with a hug! What a welcome!! Kevin’s parents arrived in their motorhome from Tybee Island and they are camped right near us. Eliza is quite happy having her parents and both sets of grandparents around and doting on her. Little does she know her world is about to change dramatically…

Susie was delighted to find we have a pool at the RV Park. She brought Eliza over after her nap for a dip in a big pool. The water was a bit chilly, even though it was almost 90 degrees, but going from pool to hot tub fixed any chills! I couldn’t believe how much Eliza liked the hot tub : )
