Day 36: More Visiting with Family this past week…

Monday, July 1, 2013. Richland, WA.

Boy, it’s HOT outside!! Today is 104 degrees and the next couple days won’t be much better. Sherry and John Crowell left the RV park and headed east this morning and we will all miss them. Susie and Kevin and the kids will be going away on Thursday, July 4th for Seattle and the Potlatch Frisbee Tournament. They decided to camp in a motel rather than their tent on the hot field this time… Both Kevin and Susie will be playing some, while juggling child and baby care. It will be Hazel’s first big trip over the Cascade Mountains and it will be interesting to see how well the two girls travel.

John and I are going to stick around a couple days to clean the RV, restock supplies, and see if we can get a campsite for Saturday in Libby, MT. Libby is a 300 mile drive and gets us to a beautiful area of Montana, and very close to Glacier National Park.

The pictures below were taken during a week when Eliza got a gastrointestinal bug, which was caught by Kevin, John Crowell and Holly in varying degrees. Everyone is feeling fine now and resuming normal activity.

About Holly Ritger

I am retired, enjoying being a grandmother, traveling to National Parks and other interesting places in our RV with my husband of 43 years, and visiting with friends and family. Hobbies: photography, learning about wildflowers and birds, and trees, and reading from my kindle.

I love the picture of John feeding Hazel. Great job John. It sounds like everybody survived the bug. Hope you all have a wonderful July 4th. By the way it is only in the low 80’s here & we are supposed to have rain the next few days 100% change on the 4th. Continue to be safe on the rest of your trip. Love Ann

Low 80s would be soo welcome! The heat is really getting to me. I just hope the power at the RV Park is up to the load… Power turned off once earlier today.
