Monday, July 15. Port Angeles/Sequim KOA, Sequim, WA. Elevation: 36 feet. Low: 56; High: 74.
We spent the morning buying groceries, doing laundry and some cleaning in the RV. We headed into Olympic National Park after lunch to see what’s there. We stopped at the Visitor Center briefly yesterday and checked the exhibits and got our map.
We decided we had time to go explore Hurricane Ridge… we went through a series of three mountain tunnels spaced very closely together. WE saw snow capped mountains and lots of wildflowers. Holly checked out the gift shop and we watched a short movie on the park.

We walked a couple short trails, each of which was still blocked by snow, and enjoyed the views and flowers before heading back to the campsite.

I am retired, enjoying being a grandmother, traveling to National Parks and other interesting places in our RV with my husband of 43 years, and visiting with friends and family. Hobbies: photography, learning about wildflowers and birds, and trees, and reading from my kindle.
We stayed at that KOA in Port Angeles when we visited Olympic National Park in 2007. Love the pictures.
