We got the RV back yesterday from Peco Campers in Tucker, Georgia. We bought the RV from Peco 6 1/2 years ago, and they see to all of our maintenance and repairs. All RV systems are checked and repaired, the outside of the RV is washed, and the inside has been thoroughly cleaned.
Big Red (our F250 Turbo Diesel pickup truck that hauls the 5th wheel) got the all clear from Ford this morning (he developed an oil leak that had to be checked out.)
I had hoped to reach the Smokies by April 15th, in time for the Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage but it just didn’t work out this year. We will see different flowers blooming, the light green leaves of spring on the trees… by all accounts, it’s beautiful there right now!
The GSM site on Facebook reports Flame Azalea is blooming now and Mountain Laurel isn’t far behind… www.facebook.com/SmokyMountainsWildflowers
Holly, so glad you will be on the road again! Looking forward to following you along on your journey and can’t wait to see your wildflower photos! Safe travels!

This is a short two week trip in the Smokies. Susie and Hazel will be in town for a couple days after that and we want to come home and see them. We head out again mid-June or so and head to Nova Scotia or out west for a few months. Not sure yet…
