A Drive to Big Creek in the Great Smokies…

It’s another gorgeous fall day and we packed lunch and headed out in Big Red for Big Creek. There was a festival of some sort going on at the intersection of Hwy 321 and Hwy 32. We saw a tent on the side of the road with a guy selling copper Stills?! Is that legal?!

We saw some nice fall colors along TN Road 32…

Rte 32 is paved in TN and gravel in NC, and full of twists and turns.
We seem to frequent curvy, mountain roads : )

The area we picnic at is covered in yellow trillium in the spring, but today the ground is covered in acorns and brown leaves.

And, it was soon time to head back to camp. I enjoyed the fall colors and the relative peace of this end of the Park : )

What a gorgeous drive and a beautiful spot for a picnic! The narrow treed road with all the fall foliage were wonderful. Thanks for taking us along:)
